Henderson Beach State Park Family Session || Smither Family

Who are my favorite families to photograph? The ones that come back to me. To capture every stage of a family’s life and watch their children grow is absolutely incredible. We start to build familiarity and a relationship together and the photos become more emotive every year because of it. When Mom’s text me that their kids have been looking forward to getting photos done with Kayla, that hits me right in the feels.

This is my second time photographing the Smither’s, but the first time they were just a family of three. I don’t know if you can tell, but we had a lot of fun.

When photographing a family I always try to get a few photos of just Mom and Dad. I get photos of just the kids so why not just the parents? I absolutely love how those photos turned out too.
