Bud & Alley's Wedding in Seaside 30a || Will + Kayla

Will + Kayla envisioned a simple, garden wedding at Eden Gardens State Park with a party at Bud & Alley’s and it did not disappoint!

First we started in the houses they rented in Seaside. They each got ready for the day ahead and read letters written to each other in preparation. It was a very sweet moment and I love the fact that they have those letters to look back on in their many, many years together. It was such a gorgeous day, that I brought Kayla and her dad outside for him to see her for the first time. It was a very emotional moment and an honor to capture.

When we got to Eden Gardens, I was a little nervous about the patchy lighting that the sun made shining through the trees. Thankfully, it gave the location and ceremony very dramatic lighting and I love the way Kayla and Will were in the spotlight during the ceremony. The simply white flowers and greenery didn’t take away from the beauty of their surroundings, but only enhanced it and lended an editorial feel. After the ceremony, I had to take advantage of the GORGEOUS light shining through the mossy trees for their couples portraits.

After we arrived at Bud & Alley’s the sun started slipping behind the clouds, giving us a really soft, romantic light for their beach photos. The wedding started going from elegant to one big party and we had so much fun! They threw flower petals in the air, danced the night away, had a donut tower, and the surprise of the night was when Kayla broke the strap off her wedding dress! By some miracle I even got to capture the moment she realized it happened, lol. Finally, we ended the night with a glow stick exit. All in all, it was a night to remember and I’m so happy for my name twin and her hubby!
