The Gulf on Okaloosa Island Wedding || Keegan + Emily

I visited The Gulf on Okaloosa Island for a birthday party in August last year and instantly fell in love with the place! The atmosphere was so relaxing and their style is unlike anything I've seen in Destin. (Btw, their tacos and burgers are AMAZING!) After visiting them I knew that I just had to shoot a wedding there.

A few months later Emily + Keegan booked me for their wedding here! Talk about putting it out into the universe, right?! When we met before their wedding I knew that it was going to be a fun and super chill wedding. They didn't have a photo list in mind and they had no intention of being too traditional. My kind of couple! All they wanted were the important moments captured and photos of them being with their family and closest friends.

Having said all that, let's start with some photos of the venue and the couple's tropical decorations.

Wedding Tip:

"Make sure someone knows how to put on the boutonniere."

I get why people have bridesmaids and groomsmen. They're your closest friends and that's what everybody else does at weddings. So I really loved the fact that Keegan + Emily decided not to go with a wedding party. It's fun to mix it up a little bit and just make it how you want it. Plus, sometimes you just don't want to offend anybody, which means if you did have a wedding party it'd become a total of 40!

Now onto one of my favorite parts of the day! The time when the couple is away from all the family and guests and it's just the two of them soaking it all in.

The food was all made by The Gulf and it was amazing! Oh so delicious! I think I even went up for seconds...

So I had to get photos of the two of them in front of this epic sign and I love how their personalities shine through in these last few photos of the day! Really shows you how much fun it all was!

Such a fun wedding to start out 2018 with! As always, here's the list of awesome vendors that came together to help create such a beautiful wedding.
