Jekyll Island Wedding, GA | Greg + Abbey

Abbey + Greg’s wedding day in Jekyll Island, GA was such a fun day. The wedding had a coastal feeling to it between the colors, the venue, and the sun shining along with a strong breeze all day. It even cooled down in the evening, which was a nice break from the typical heat.

Family is super important to both Abbey + Greg so that was a big part of their day. It was so nice to see how involved and happy their family and friends were for them. Something they wanted for their photography was a focus on candid moments between them and their guests. They decided to bring their dog Maisie Mae (what a cute name!) and she fit right into the vibe of the whole day and got featured in some photos.

I suggested doing a first look before the ceremony so we would have more time for bride and groom photos and I am so glad we did. After the ceremony and family photos are done, most of the time, you just want to get to the party, understandably so! It’s your time to celebrate your marriage and get to the party you’ve planned with your closest friends and family. I never want to force more photos because looking back you will remember how you felt, so if we get couples photos beforehand we don’t technically need to do them afterwards too.

A detail I absolutely loved, was the pearl veil Abbey chose to wear. The details of it were stunning and ended up photographing beautifully, I was obsessed!
